Todd Dumbrowski is/was the likely Crisis Actor involved in the false hype, playing the role of the 12-year old boy who supposedly fell through a (now unfindable) supposed subduction. Time will tell. Looking up Joan Girolami and Tom Larkin today, both have since passed away. Girolami died in 2014, Larkin in 2012.
