Annapolis Reynolds Tea Room Investigation 24 Jan 2004 by Beverly Litsinger

On January 24, 2004, Beverly Litsinger led an investigation at the historic Reynolds Tea Room in Annapolis. Paranormal activity was abundant: lights in the dining room inexplicably brightened and dimmed, a plate shattered in the kitchen without human intervention, and glowing orbs hovered near employees. Upstairs in Mary Reynolds’ bedroom, the spirit of the 19th-century tavern keeper made herself known. Investigators watched in awe as the bed visibly sank, followed by the impression of a small figure appearing on the mattress. Covers shifted as if Mary herself was making herself comfortable. It was a vivid demonstration of the supernatural, leaving no doubt about the tea room’s haunted history.

The investigation was wonderful; everyone had a great time. We got strong readings on all our equipment. While we were in the dining room the lights got bright and then they dimmed by themselves. When we were in the kitchen a plate broke into many pieces by itself on top of the stove. I captured pictures of Orbs over some employees’ heads.

Mary Reynolds was the Tavern keeper from the 1800’s. We went into the Mary Reynolds bedroom and were all standing around the bed taking pictures when we heard something sit on the bed. When we looked more closely at the bed we saw the impression of a small woman laying down on the bed. As we watched we could see the cover move and her body impression appear on the bed in other locations! If you ever needed “proof,” this provided quite a demonstration.
