Patapsco Female Institute by Beverly Litsinger
The investigation at the Patapsco Female Institute describes ghostly occurrences, including capturing voices, a spectral figure named Anna descending marble steps, and strange temperature drops around visitors. Paranormal phenomena like orbs, ectoplasm, and auditory events (e.g., a doorbell, barking dogs) were documented, highlighting the site’s haunting allure.
The Patapsco Female Institute is one of my favorite locations. You never know what is going to happen when you visit the place. We have captured ghostly voices on tape there. The last time I was there, I captured the sound of a doorbell ringing and dogs barking and people talking. We always capture amazing picture at the location: Lots of orbs and ectoplasms.
On one investigation, a member captured a picture of Anna the ghost walking down the marble steps carrying a bag. This was the best picture that I have ever seen taken. One member saw Anna on the second floor looking out of the window. The second floor has no floor, but there she stood looking out.
On another of my investigations here, a ghost decided to hang out with my tour guide and one of my members. The temperature was very cold around these two people. The temperature was only 10 degrees. It was measurable, definitely discernible, and it was no fluke or breeze. This was a nice warm evening and we were not wearing coats. But, the two people with the ghostly tag-along were wearing coats and blankets and breathing frost.
