Boonsboro and Frederick Investigation by Beverly Litsinger

In January 2025, Beverly Litsinger conducted a paranormal investigation in Boonsboro, Maryland, at a new housing development constructed on a former Civil War battlefield. Reports indicated increased spiritual activity due to the construction. During the investigation, the team observed significant electromagnetic field (EMF) readings and temperature fluctuations using an infrared gauge. Notably, a device’s indicator light began flashing without apparent cause, and cold spots were detected throughout the site. Photographs taken during the investigation revealed orbs, vortices, and ectoplasmic formations.
Following the Boonsboro investigation, the team proceeded to downtown Frederick, Maryland, for a walking tour of historically haunted locations. At the site of the old City Hall, they captured images of orbs. Historically, this location was significant for events such as the 1765 protest against the Stamp Act and the 1781 trial and execution of seven Tories convicted of treason. Three of these men were hanged on the courthouse lawn, while the remaining four were deported. The area is believed to be haunted due to these historical events, with previous investigators also documenting orbs and ectoplasmic phenomena on the site.
These findings suggest that the disturbances from modern construction in historically significant areas may be linked to increased paranormal activity, as evidenced by the team’s experiences and photographic evidence.

I took on an investigation up in Boonsboro. I learned that a new housing development was being built on an old Civil War battlefield. I had heard that the spirits were getting very active with the construction. Jenny, one of my members, had gone there and had captured amazing pictures of orbs, vortices and Ectoplasms. As we walked around the construction site, we got readings on the EMF detector and the infrared temperature gauge. We noticed that the blinker on one of the piece of equipment started flashing all by itself. We found cold spots.

We then drove to Frederick to do a walking tour of the haunted site located downtown Frederick. We visited old City Hall and captured orbs in our picture. Back in 1765, the citizens of Frederick gathered at the old court house that was located on this spot to protest the Stamp Act. The British found seven Tories guilty of treason in 1781. Tories was a political party of the time. During a sensational trial, the seven men were sentenced to be hanged. Three of the men were hanged on the green lawn of the old Court House. Four of the men escaped the hanging by being deported out of the country. Ghost investigators have captured orbs and ectoplasms on the lawn where the men were hanged. People believe that the area is still haunted by the events that took place many years ago.
